Why did Mozilla FORCE install google on firefox114.0.1?
All my search results now use google, thanks to the FORCED installation of the search engine google. Even after I have deleted it and deleted it and deleted it and deleted it and deleted it, ALL SEARCH RESULTS ARE NOW FROM GOOGLE, whether I like it or not. Mozilla has FORCED A COMPLETELY BROKEN SEARCH ENGINE ON MY PC(google), and now i can't rid of it, AND THEY ABSOLUTELY REFUSE TO HELP ANYONE.

Firefox comes with a large set of search and each locale has a specific set enabled. You can disable/hide the built-in search engines, but you can't remove them. You should be able to select another search engine as your default search engine for the address bar and for the Firefox Home page, otherwise you can bookmark the URL of a specific search engine.

In what way is Google forced for you ?
Can you attach a screenshot?

- use a compressed image type like PNG or JPG to save the screenshot
Start Firefox in Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) or if hardware acceleration or if userChrome.css/userContent.css is causing the problem.
- switch to the Default System theme: "3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Themes
- do NOT click the "Refresh Firefox" button on the Troubleshoot Mode start window
Ma'am or Sir, I guess you couldn't be BOTHERED to actually read my question. I'll try it again, GOOGLE WAS FORCE INSTALLED BY MOZILLA. There is a greyed out REMOVE button for google. The FORCED install of google has made all search results wrong(just like google), and with the greyed out remove button, I'm not ALLOWED to get accurate search results. It's really too bad that mozilla stoops to using FAKE responses, instead of supplying someone that can read and write in English, I get your know-it-all attitude, and NO HELP. Google was force installed by Mozilla, and I'm not ALLOWED to remove it, thanks to the greyed-out REMOVE button. DDG and firefox worked together until Mozilla FORCE INSTALLED GOOGLE. If you can't be bothered to actually read my question, please stop harassing me with USELESS data. The browser worked, without telling me Mozilla force installed google on 114.0.1, and now I can't get rid of google, and all the wildly inaccurate search results.
Hi
Google may be set as the default search engine, but you can easily change this if you wish. This support article should help:

The replies here are by people and not by a bot or automated replies so the replies are not fake.
You may think you are being clear however your original post and this reply is rather vague overall and not as clear as you may think. We are not mind readers as we can only work with the information you give us as the two responses are referring to the Search Engines in Firefox. Google is the default search engine for many language locales of Firefox and that is how everybody usually sees Google in Firefox unless otherwise.
"GOOGLE WAS FORCE INSTALLED BY MOZILLA. There is a greyed out REMOVE button for google."
How are you seeing this Google in Firefox and where are you seeing the greyed out remove button?.
If this was indeed about the search engines then you can change what is the default and add/remove search engines in Firefox as stated. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/add-or-remove-search-engine-firefox
Also what Extensions do you have installed in Firefox as sometimes those extensions can add or change search engines, though normally they were adding say Yahoo or some other search engine.
Alterado por James em
James, until 114.0.1 was installed, I got ACCURATE search results. After the update all my searches were "loony toons". Then I find out Google was force installed as THE ONLY SEARCH ENGINE. So much so, the REMOVE button has been greyed-out, so that I can't remove it. I do not understand what you can't understand. 1 firefox worked 2 firefox got an update, 3 google was force installed 4 firefox now returns the exact same wrong search results as google. EVEN AFTER I HAVE DELETED GOOGLE SIX TIMES. I hope I was clear, it worked, Mozilla sent an update, I allowed the install, mozilla installed google as the only search engine, greyed out the remove button. Then Mozilla sends out 114.0.2, which allowed me to remove google, SIX TIMES, however NOW ALL FIREFOX SEARCH RESULTS ARE FROM GOOGLE. There is no help, all that matters is Mozilla got their millions, and nobody else matters. Thanx for your reply, Henry
Take a look America, here is the PROOF, that there is no support at Mozilla.
I have a similar problem as I found that Google's Two Step Authentication gives a false sense of security. So I tried to change to Yahoo but it was not in the default settings so I am forced to use Bing as I do not want to use Google. How do I set my Firefox to use Yahoo as the search engine.
By the way AVG says that many webpages on Firefox have been infected with a virus but I could not upload the screen shots.
Best Regards Peter
