Night mode gone
My option for night mode to invert the colors for websites has suddenly disappeared from the menu. If I go to settings I can turn on dark mode but it does not work for a lot of websites. How can I get night mode back?

Please restore night mode. This is one of the main features that I use this browser for.

It seems that we have high number of votes on this thread. For others that are using this feature pretty significantly, I highly encourage you to share feedback about why this feature is important to you. The team is currently doing an experiment. Since March 15, 50% of users no longer see Night Mode switch from the hamburger menu. We're using this experiment to monitor and evaluate the impact of removing, so it'll be hugely valuable to hear your feedback around this feature. Thanks!a.mitchell said
I, too depend on night mode to do my job as a videographer. Lack of this feature renders your browser inaccessible and unusable for my sensory disability, as well. Last night it disappeared from the menus in my iPad and Android phone. Setting the theme to dark mode in iOS does not darken webpages.I forwarded this feedback to the referenced bug report.

So, am I correct in saying that the team decided to remove an accessability feature with no notice from half the users?
As a professional progammer, I am disgusted by the cavalier attidue on display here. It shows a complete lack for professionalism, ethics and respect for the users. Things that go against the values that the Mozilla organisation purports to espouse.
In one word...disappointed.

Hi All,
It's comming back! :) I believe that this experiment could have been better thought out, but nice to knowthey listen to feedback. :)

We truly understand the importance of accessibility features and your feedback is really valuable for us. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by the experiment. In response to the feedback collected, I have requested the termination of the experiment. The nightmode option will be reinstated soon. I heard this is an experiment. I use Firefox specifically for this feature because my eyes are very sensitive to light, and i rely on dark modes to use everything. It is an essential accessibility feature and I use this toggle multiple times a day. Please do not remove this feature. I would use a different browser.
Candid feedback - testing this as an experiment does not make sense. If you remove a feature with no substitute, the only way to measure impact on the experiment group is by a decline in overall usage. This will obviously have an unfair bias toward the accessibility users, and it's incredibly risky to deploy on 50% of your user base and risk losing these users.
A better way to evaluate the impact would be a survey to understand how & why users use this feature, and to look at usage trends - e.g. even if not a popular feature, is there a subset of users who use it a lot? Based on this thread, I'm guessing yes

Came here after noticing my iOS AppStore review had a response. I hadn’t been using Firefox as much since posting my review but tonight accidentally opened it to see that I had the option back again. This is 100% an essential feature and should never be taken away from anyone again
I found a bug in your Firefox for iPad in Version 125.2 and earlier that has been recurring. Once I establish Dark Mode in one tab, (Tab 1) via system dark mode on iPad settings and Firefox Settings, When I open a new tab,(Tab 2) it will be in Light Mode. When I switch Tab 2 to Dark Mode via Firefox settings, it will automatically switch Tab 1 into Light mode. If I switch all odd # tabs into Dark Mode, all Even # tabs will be a weird Light Mode but with the videos in screen paused in a strange negative photo view. After reading up on all websites, forums on Mac, iPad and Firefox, it seems this is a Firefox Bug. To correct this, all tabs opened in either light or dark mode should be the same mode as the new tabs opened.
