With all of my .comcast email accounts , when I attempt to send an email I get an "An error occurred while sending mail: Outgoing server (SMTP) error. The server responded: resomta-c2p-539727.sys.comcast.net resomta-c2p-539727.sys.comcast.net Excessive failed authentication, ESMTP server temporarily not available." Many attempts to correct with comcast. They told me to click network, choose mode of connection in the connection services list, click details, select TCP/IP and renew DHCP lease. That is beyond my abilities, even though I attempted to follow directions thru Thunderbird, I get nowhere! Help!

Those instruction have nothing to do with Thunderbird and everything to do with windows. I think you and your comcast support person need to try again. This time with you both in the same applications.
