I cannot connect to the internet through my Mozilla firefox, I am being forced to use Internet explorer how do I fix Mozilla I tried a few of the suggestions on your website but nothing works.

I cannot connect to the internet using my Mozilla firefox, but can connect with Internet explorer. How do I fix the problem. Try clearing your cache and cookies.

  1. Open the Tools menu, then select Clear Recent History... .
  2. In the Time Range to clear: drop-down, select Everything.
  3. Click the arrow next to Details to display the list of items that can be cleared.
  4. Select both Cookies and Cache.
  5. Click Clear Now .


Or you can try creating a test profile to see if it happens on that profile as well. See Managing Profiles

This can be caused by a firewall blocking internet access to Firefox. See Configure firewalls so that Firefox can access the Internet. That link has a list of popular firewalls and how to configure them to work with Firefox.
