I am following instructions on deleting cookies, but the don't delete.
I delete cookies , in particular ad.yieldmanager.com. I then close firefox and restart and it is back. I have tried to also delete all cokies with the same result. Is this a bug or a virus/worm problem.

Do you have an extension (Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) like TACO installed that adds opt-out cookies?

If clearing the cookies doesn't help then it is possible that the file cookies.sqlite that stores the cookies is corrupted.
Rename (or delete) cookies.sqlite and cookies.txt, if they exist, in the Profile Folder in case cookies.sqlite got corrupted.
