Hi Folks, I'm having a strange result when I open "Organize Bookmarks". I don't get the actual list, but rather, only 3 URL's in the right-hand pane (name, etc.) and nothing in the left-hand pane! I've re-loaded the bookmarks through the "Import/Backup" feature from 2 different sources I use to back-up important apps and files, both with the same results. Namely an external harddrive and a USB drive. And, yes, I always scan these files with virus, malware and spyware/bot apps after backing-up! Any ideas there? I've got several years of building these bookmarks and I may go nuts trying to put that list back together! <VBG> I do have a screen shot of this mess that can be seen at: Bookmarks Screen Shot (please hold down ctrl key to see in new tab) Many thanks in advance.... Mark

This can be a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.

Hi Cor-el and Cww,

"Quote" When did this start? "Un-Quote"

First, let me thank you for your responses! In thinking it over again last night, I'm suspicious that this may have been the result of being forced to use Thunderbird. This because I had a total meltdown of WinXP Pro and since I already had a Win7 Pro install disk just sitting around. I re-installed all my "nice to haves" and "must haves" and lo-and-behold, NO OE! Seems they didn't feel it was good enough anymore. Probably because they felt it was just to simple and plain for there whoopy-fizz new OS. <SIGH!> Anywho, I'm suspicious of Thunderbird's default "once I've got an address to go search and this guy restarts me I'm gonna do it!". I was trying to load it up, didn't have AVG Servers ready, and was shocked to see this app suddenly take on a life of its own! I think I might have had a spyware or bot attack, as a result of the above, which started this whole business. I had run Spybot, Malwarebytes and AVG scans after, again, the incident above. I'm going to Cor-el's link next. Again, many thanks and I'll be back to report the resolution to this.... Mark

Hi Folks, Well.....here we go again...... I'm STILL playing with disappearing/re-routed URL Bookmarks. I've re-installed Firefox with last weeks upgrade (after having re-installed the former version a few days before the release) . I've noticed today that the backupbookmarks folder had several corrupted days of 29kb, rather than the legit 239kb. I have AVG, Malwarebytes and Spybot S&D scan the whole computer twice a day, everyday with 'NO' results of Viruses or Malware. What could have happened (or could be happening) to these bookmarks?? ANY IDEAS???!!!??? Many thanks.... Mark
