when I tried to reload the older version of FF that suits my computer it reloaded with the same toolbar from "MyPoints" which was causing the problem, and FF still doesn't load?
I tried to download the older version of Firefox which will work w/ my Mac OS 10.4.11 sys, but the pesky MyPoints toolbar came with it. Why? So Firefox still doesn't load. It's stuck about 3/4 of the blue bar.

Be sure to download Firefox from the Mozilla server.
- Firefox 3.6.x: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html
- Firefox 4 versions and later do not run on a PowerPC Mac.
- Firefox 4 and later require at least OS X 10.5 and an Intel Mac.

You are unfortunately out of luck with an Intel Mac and OS X 10.4.11 Best would be to update to OS X 10.5 or later if you want to use Firefox 4 and later versions (current is 6.0.2).

Reloading an older version of Firefox doesn't get rid add-ons that you have installed. You need to uninstall that My Points toolbar add-on. Try using the Firefox SafeMode to uninstall it.
