The Bookmarks drop-down menu on FF 9.0.1 is way too dark...black fonts on dark charcoal background...unreadable. Please fix! Please!
Whenever I double click the star in address bar in order to bookmark a page, the drop-down menu is totally dark, dark charcoal background with black fonts!! Can't read it.
Other pop-ups on bookmarks are also too dark to read.

Co-rel, thanks for your response. I clicked on the first link you gave me which took me to add-ons and themes, but I never got a chance to select one before trying back on the FF Start page, double-clicking on the bookmark star and seeing that it now has white fonts in place of black!!??? The pull (or drop) down menu background is still deeply dark all over, but with white fonts that no longer is an issue.
This doesn't mean that I'm totally satisfied with the look, but as long as I can read what's on the buttons and inside the boxes, I'll live with it. So I called your post a solution, even though to be honest, I never pursued any add-on or theme within the time frame of your and my posts.
You can try a solid persona with a color that suits you.

Thank you co-rel for hanging in there with me. Somebody has corrected this issue 100%. Cor-els links did not completely solve the issue for me, but at least cor-el showed interest and tried to help. I really appreciate it, cor-el. If cor-el did not go in and rewrite some code, then thank you whoever changed the background color on bookmark drop down menu (the one that opens when you double-click the star in the address box). One can now read it!!
Seems like such a simple request, but Adobe has been stalled on the same issue for over 9 months! Thank you to the Firefox contributors and code-writers! :)

Please see the reference link in this post. I've accepted the latest version FF11, and I'm experiencing the exact same problem I wrote about in the messages above.
So I know that it can be fixed! Please assist!
Can you provide a working link that others can access?
The link that you posted seems only accessible by you.
How did you previously solved that issue?
Have you tried the same steps?
cor-el, thanks for responding once again. I hope that you can see the image below.
On the previous issue referenced above, I never had time to look at the solid Personas that you recommended because someone swooped in and fixed the drop-down to a light gray background with black fonts--perfect--so I did not persue your suggestion any further. However, I've not forgotten your help, which I appreciate very much, so last night I went over to the solid personas and selected two test personas, Silvermel and the plain Yahoo.
Unfortunately, neither persona rendered any different color drop down than that which I experienced in the default Firefox. Still black fonts on black background.
I might as well mention other anomalies occurring in my Firefox 11 browser right now.
For instance, the "Post a Reply" box wherein I'm typing this has my avatar, then just to the right of it is a curious solid black box about half the size of the avatar. In fact, ALL of the posts on this page appear that way, even yours, cor-el.
Next (still in the Post a Reply box that I'm in) there are no heading icons, just two small vertical separator lines. Mousing over this blank area, I get small pop-ups that tell me "Bold," "Italic," then "Insert a Link," next, "Numbered List," and finally, "Bulleted List."
But that's not all.
Firefox' alert bar on re-directs, normally a light yellow bar that extends across the screen just beneath the bookmarks bar, is just as dark and unreadable as the Bookmark Drop-Down Menu about which I originally whined.
But wait! There's more.
The Google search page, which so conveniently offers you a preview out to the right side of each entry, used to show a button that you could mouse over to get the preview. That button has changed to an empty rectangle. Looks like a fifth grader drew it. Many, many other previously professionally done images in Firefox are, for lack of a better description, "empty," or "incomplete."
Lastly, when I first started having these troubles, I completely removed Firefox and re-installed it from the official Mozilla page. Nothing improved.
I'm not sure whether this means anything, but please allow me to mention that when I went to YouTube, all of the heading information was written in a foreign language--either Chinese or some other Asian language. No YouTube Icon, however, below in the videos, all text was in English.
I really don't know what to do at this point.
Any constructive ideas, comments or suggestions are welcome and will be greatly appreciated!
Thanks.
