When you have three plugins that says: "Update" do you restart Firefox after each ukpdate or restart after completing all updates?
I have 4 plugins that say "Update" 1. Java 2. Shockwave Flash 3. Adobe Acrobat 4. Google Eaeth I have read the trobleshooting information, but being new to Firefox it is difficult for me to understand exactly when to restart Firefox. However some of the of the Fiefox users say the computer will instruct them to restart after each update. Would you have any suggestions, or just click on the updates and do whatever the computer tells you to do?. Thank you, Jeantte Gonzales

Hi,
You can try to middle-click the update links, download the updates from the sites and finally exit Firefox before starting the installation. As these are unrelated software, you would only need to restart the PC after installing all the different updates and that too only if any of the installation asks for it.
I am still working on the installation process, the instructions on the website are very complicated to apply (or rather they are for me) some say restart Firefox after downloading the updates. And I do not know how to middle-click. Thank you dumdidadida for you help, I read somewhere in Firefox Community help, that soon Firefox would be able to automatically install updates =). are something to that effect.
Internal add-ons like Extensions and themes (Appearance) would be usually updated automatically, if Update add-ons automatically is enabled in Tools (Alt + T) > Add-ons > gear icon on the top right. You can also click the gear anytime and Check for updates. In the case of external add-ons like Plugins (Flash player, Real player, QuickTime, Java etc.), the update setting would be usually in the Windows OS Control Panel or Start menu, or would have to be made inside the corresponding program's settings.
