next "Find" result not in the centre of the window
After upgraded to 14.0.1, I find the next search result (either by "alt + N" or "ctrl+G", no longer appear in the center of the window. This feature in version 13 was very helpful for me. It allows me to have my eyes concentrating on the center of the screen, where the next search result would show up. Please recover the feature!!

Which search site has this feature? Or could it be a feature added by an add-on?
oh, it is text search tool of Firefox. i.e when you press "ctrl + f" to search text in a page. then "alt + n" goes to next search result. but in version 14, the result doesn't show in the middle of the screen.
If subsequent results are on the same window then the page isn't scrolled to center the result, but merely the next result gets highlighted to prevent confusion.
- Bug 720126 - Find in Page: always centering highlighted result makes it hard to see relative positions of multiple results
- Bug 171237 - Find in Page: highlighted result should be at the middle of the page (vertically centered) instead of last line/bottom of page
Tks Cor-el. It seems the problem was introduced following the fix of bug of 720126 (should not be called a bug!). I would suggest to have enriched options for "Find" to cater different tastes. I still prefer to have subsequent result showing in the middle of the screen.
Hi, for my work I also really NEED to have subsequent result showing in the middle of the screen. :-(
Expecting to have centred search result in the screen for the coming release, any luck?
I don't see any indication in the two bugs referenced by cor-el that the current behavior is being changed.
(Someone filed a bug to horizontally center the found text: Bug 743103 - Find in Page: highlighted result should be at the middle of the page (horizontally centered) instead of left/right edge of page. No action on that so far.)
Perhaps someone will create an add-on for this?
