Firefox always times out when I try to access www.mypcbackup.com. It loads pages of other websites normally. I have tried resetting Firefox. I have deleted Cookies and Cache. Nothing works. I sent an email to support at mypcbackup.com. They say there's nothing wrong with the site. So I tried Internet Explorer. It won't load that page either. I'm going crazy and need help. My OS is Windows 7 Professional 64-bit. Firefox is version 2.01.

Did it help to reset (power off/on) the router?

It is possible the the IP of that domain has changed and that old data was still being cached.

Hello, I checked this site right now and I am able to view the site without issues. Can you please confirm if this is the only site you are unable to view? Also, it will help if you can check with your ISP also to see if they are having issues to connect to the site. Another troubleshooting you can do is to do this on your machine

  1. Open the command prompt (Windows key+R and type cmd)
  2. Try tracert mypcbackup.com
  3. This would print the times to reach this site - mypcbackup.com
  4. If there are issues in reaching the site, you would see a 'Request timed out' message

That message could indicate that there might be issues in connecting to this site from your ISP.

Thank you

Thank you. I did call my ISP, who helped me to trace the problem to my router. Now I have to figure out why the router gave no such problem for years and then began to interfere with access to this one website.

The problem is solved, thank you. I had unplugged and by-passed the router in order to test website access without it. So the router was powered off for quite some time. When I put it back into use the problem was gone. Later I read your suggestion along the same line. For my information, could you tell me what sort of information the router stores about websites and how it gets it? Thank you so much.
