The icons are used in place of words which makes it difficult to navigate the system. Chrome 34, IE 11 do not have this problem. Using FireFox29.0.1 and your in Yahoo.com/mail in the upper left corner just beneath the Yahoo.com logo with an explanation mark and Mail beneath it you will find 5 icons that when you hover over them show Mail, Contacts, Calendar, Notepad, Messenger that have NO word descriptions next to them. There are several others, 14 or more that have some accompanying text with them.
