Cannot Recieve Emails
I have recieved an email in my Thunderbird email account inbox telling me that my mailbox memory is full. I now have not been able to recieve emails in about a week. I have deleted all messages in my inbox and have very little emails left in my sub folders. I still am unable to recieve emails. Can this be resolved?

That email was from the server, so it was refering to the number of messages on the server.
If you have a Pop mail account, it looks at server Inbox and downloads to your TB mail account Inbox, but what happens to the emails on the server?
- Tools > Account Settings > Server Settings for the mail account
Do you 'Leave messages on the server' ? If yes, then you need to either: Change/modify some settings, so that older mail is not left for ages on the server.
- select: 'Leave messages on the server'
- select: 'For at most xx days' I would suggest 30 days.
- select 'until I delete them'
- click on ok to save changes
- close and restart Thunderbird
OR
- manually logon to your webmail account via a browser and manually delete emails.
I would set up the account settings anyway to prevent this from occuring in the future.
Regarding general stuff on your Thunderbird:
Have you been regularly compacting your Inbox? please read info on compacting, what it does and why it is important.
You should use the Inbox as an Inbox for new incoming mail and not as a general storage. Create new folders for organising mail.
You can also set up Archive options to archive monthly and keep folder structure. These emails are not backed up, they are visible via the 'Archives' folder, but will be organised into smaller files.

Thank You very much for the time you have taken for this response. My server is howing as an IMAP mail server. Unfortuantly, this is a little too technical for me. Does THunderbird have a manual log in, that, for example, i can log onto to access my emails anywhere, rather than having to use my Thunderbird application? If i am able to log on manually, i could then delete a whole load of emails which may free some space up from the server. Thank you once again!
IMAP mail accounts have a remote view of the folders on the server. Headers are downloaded and when you select an email, the folder contents are downloaded to a temporary cache to faciliate quicker access. These emails are not stored on the computer as the temp file will be deleted when you exit.
If you synchronize folders, a copy of the folder is downloaded and stored on the computer. When you make changes, it resynchronises with the server to update the server. So that the folders appear the same.

When you compact your Inbox folder, all traces of 'marked as deleted' mail are removed.
Have you emptied and compacted your 'Deleted/Trash' folder?
Tools -> Account Settings -> Server Settings -> Clean up ("Expunge") Inbox on Exit will auto compact the Inbox folder when you exit Thunderbird. If you check "Empty Trash on Exit" it will also empty and compact the Trash folder when you exit.
You can also access emails via your webmail account, but this is done via a browser and logging on. This webmail account depends upon whether you have a website account, ISP mail account and email address provided by your broadband provider or a general use mail account like gmail or yahoo etc.
