Hello, Thank you, but it did not work. It only starts in safe mode. My computer was built for windows 2000. I was able to run version 31 on it till I deleted it when my daughter dump so addons. Jeff
You can try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox if you can start Firefox in Safe Mode.
- Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"
You need to close and restart Firefox after toggling this setting.

If it works in Safe Mode and in normal mode with all extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) disabled then try to find which extension is causing it by enabling one extension at a time until the problem reappears.
Close and restart Firefox after each change via "Firefox > Exit" (Windows: Firefox/File > Exit; Mac: Firefox > Quit Firefox; Linux: Firefox/File > Quit)
Hello, Thank you for the help. My daughter deleted Firefox. I reinstalled it and now it does not start. it did start in safe mode. I have not been able to start it normally, so there are no addons. I have an older computer and xp. I do not meet the requirements but the version 30.0 was working. Jeff

Hello, How are you? I deleted Firefox 30. I installed version 15, then I installed 31. Now when I start it up I get a different error message. Another copy of Firefox is running and I have to close it or restart XP. What do I do now. Thank You,
Jeff
Restart the computer. When the computer is done booting, try to Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} While you are in safe mode;
Type about:preferences in the address bar and press enter
Select Advanced > General. Look for and turn off Use Hardware Acceleration.
Poke around safe web sites. Are there any problems?
Then restart.
