I do not wish that my deleted emails be automatically removed after 20 hours. I prefer to delete my deleted emails as I choose.
All my deleted emails disappear after 20 hours after they are deleted by me. I wish to access my previously deleted emails, and manually delete that as I so choose. Cannot seem to locate a location to choose this option?

Just like keeping leftover food you want later in the trash, keeping email that you want to keep in the trash folder is not a great idea. I suggest that you make a new folder for this purpose and use it instead of the trash folder. As you can see you do not have complete control over the workings of the trash folder.

Is this an IMAP account and the deleted mail is cleared by the server based on the providers policies.
