I miss a number of important emails because Thunderbird doesn't download them all. Some email from a sender get through, others don't. Why? How do I fix?
Recently I've missed a power bill, several emails from personal accounts of friends and others but the commercial type email gets through OK...groupon etc. Why are some emails coming through and others not. I have to go onto the web and select view all to ensure I miss nothing urgent. Can someone help?

Is your email POP or IMAP?
POP only downloads from the server Inbox. Where do you find the missing messages when you check the server?
