My list of emails in my main inbox turned invisible. The emails are still there, I can open them in a new tab, but I cannot read the headers in the list

Emails into my main inbox have turned invisible on me. When I run my cursor down the line, each email highlights, but shows no words. If I open the email in a new tab, I can read it. But since I get about 100 emails a day, this is a very time consuming job when I will be deleteing about 3/4 of them. Right now emails that are in subfolders still are visible. I made a new subdolder and pulled a few emails into it to see if they showed, but they were still unable to be seen. Unfortunately I canot get a screen capture of this, just tried several times.
