I have windows 10 and Thunderbird has updated on my new laptop. It is now not responding at all. I start thunderbird and then nothing. Not respondin.

I have a new laptop with windows 10. Thunderbird updated to the latest version and worked ok for a couple of days and now it just freezes totally - says "not responding" - tried starting in safe mode but it won't do it. I have Bit Defender anti virus but have run that for about 5 years now with no dramas.

I have decided to get rid of Thunderbird. It is driving me crazy as I tried all suggested remedies and none have worked. I have used it for years and this last week as been a royal pain in the butt.
