why my booksmarks disappeared in the upgraded Firefox
my Firefox upgraded and all my bookmarks disappeared in the the upgraded version. I was not able to restore them again. Where are my bookmarks? I tried most of the solutions published so far w/o result. There is no backup of these files either. Please help restoring the bookmarks. I am using windows 7.11

this does not solve the problem. I tried it before posting my question. The other bookmarks icon appears but it is not populated with my older bookmarks.

Hi,
If you can't find all of your bookmarks and bookmark folders after updating to the new Firefox Quantum (version 57), try this solution:
- Click on the Library
icon on your Firefox toolbar.
- Click on Bookmarks, then click on Bookmarking Tools.
- Click on Add Bookmarks Menu to the Toolbar.
- A Bookmarks Menu
icon will be added to your toolbar.
- A Bookmarks Menu
- Click on the new Bookmarks Menu icon. You should get the same Bookmarks Menu as in earlier Firefox versions.
Let us know if this solves the problem.
