American Express/BA card payments.

Hello, On several occasions I have tried to purchase online products/sevices with my AmEx/BA card. Each time the payment has been help up after entering the one time passcode. This then sends the info to AmEx's 3rd party middle men, i.e. Adyen payments. At this point everything stops and the web page just hangs. No payments go through to AmEx, so nothing is charged to my account. I have now been told that " ...in all probability, it's your browser that's causing the problems with AmEx's third party service providers." This never happens if I use any of my other credit cards. So, is this a load of bull that AmEx are feeding me, or, is there a real issue with Mozilla/AmEx.

Any input is welcome before I go back to AmEx and tear a strip off them.

Many thanks.

Firefox recently rolled out "Total Cookie Protection" to more users. This limits how sites can use "third party" cookies, meaning cookies from different websites than the one you see in the address bar. If the payment systems rely on cross-site cookies, then the baton might get dropped in the hand-off.
