Whenever I try to use Firefox, tab keeps crashing and there is a crash report. It keeps happening to the point where I cannot work. Below are some of dozens of crashes I've had this week. I would genuinely appreciate your help. https://crash-stats.mozilla.org/report/index/b3901d05-40b4-4894-ad6a-a92120241213 https://crash-stats.mozilla.org/report/index/31d91df8-d658-4d25-9704-2140b0241213 https://crash-stats.mozilla.org/report/index/03b80ce3-3873-4ee4-9eee-cea350241213 https://crash-stats.mozilla.org/report/index/f3ecd3ae-a895-4eea-bf98-88b740241213 https://crash-stats.mozilla.org/report/index/f0d2b761-6319-4560-8153-c533c0241213 https://crash-stats.mozilla.org/report/index/d4b9fd34-b6d6-44ca-9ca2-1f88f0241213

Sorry to hear about the crashing, and thank you for the reports.

The first one looks like Firefox crashed an Intel graphics driver during a video-related task. Could you check for graphic driver updates? The following article suggests safe ways to do that: Upgrade your graphics drivers to use hardware acceleration and WebGL.

The other five involve "Out of memory" errors, indicating that Windows refused to allocate memory to Firefox on request. This doesn't necessarily mean that memory is completely full; it can indicate that it has become very fragmented. It also could mean that Firefox has a bug in how it made the request, or some other memory-handling bug.

If you can work without add-ons, you could test in Firefox's Troubleshoot Mode. In that mode, Firefox temporarily deactivates hardware acceleration, any userChrome.css/userContent.css files, and some other advanced features to help you assess whether these are causing the problem.

If Firefox is running:

You can restart Firefox in Troubleshoot Mode using either:

  • "3-bar" menu button > Help > Troubleshoot Mode...
  • (menu bar) Help menu > Troubleshoot Mode...

and OK the restart. A small dialog should appear. Click the Open button.

If Firefox is not running:

Hold down the Shift key when starting Firefox. (On Mac, hold down the option/alt key instead of the Shift key.) A small dialog should appear. Click the Open button.

Note: Don't use the Refresh without first reviewing this article to understand what will be deleted: Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings.

Any improvement in stability?
