What are the updates for? Add-ons? If so, which add-ons? Does it always try to install the same versions?

I think it is two Add-ons, Possibly adobe or something like that.....

It is Java Console 6.0.01.02 and Java Console 6.0.02.03.... and they go by the screen and don't install...........

It gives following message after installing: The Java Console extension is no longer supported and will be automatically removed the next time you restart Firefox. This will not affect any Java applications or websites in any way. Do you want to restart Firefox now?

But it keeps installing the same two programs every day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Dosh Garnit!!!!!!!!

That version of Java was blocklisted in Firefox, because of security vulnerabilities. You should update to the latest version. See Java Deployment Toolkit Blocked

I tried to download it and install it but it says that I already have it installed.....

You have the recommended Java installed (Version 6 Update 20).

I pasted the response.

I will be away on vacation until Tuesday. I will check my email then. Will not be able to reply until then. Thanks.

You have the current version of Java installed 1.6.020 (includes Java Console 6.0.20) You will need to manually remove those old Java Console Extensions because Java did not clean up after itself when it updated some time ago.

In Tools > Add-ons > Extensions, post a reply with the exact Java Console version numbter; like "Java Consol 6.0.20". Then we can tell you exactly what folders you need to manually delete off your system.

OR, have a look at this ("Multiple Java Console extensions") and you may be able to determine that for yourself: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Java#Multiple_Java_Console_extensions

I opened firefox on Monday night remotely using pc-anywhere and it did not give me the installation problem at night around 9 or 10 pm. I completely exited.

Then this morning at about 11:30am I opened firefox and it did not give me the error either. I think it must be fixed because it does not come up with the install screen anymore. I will try again one more time tomorrow morning and see what happens.
