I've been trying to install the dictionary for Rikaichan Add-on but it keeps on giving me an error;

Firefox could not install the file at

http://ftp.osuosl.org/pub/mozdev/rikaichan/rikaichan-de-2-01-101002.xpi

because: Not a valid install package -207

I've tried another link and it still gave me the same response.

Help please!

You can try to save the file to the desktop and use File > Open File to install the extension.

It is a massive file of over 6 MB (16 MB dict.sqlite) and it is possible that your anti-virus program is somehow interfering with a direct install.

See http://kb.mozillazine.org/Installing_extensions#Single-user_installation

If that still gives problems then you can try to disable the real-time (live) scanning of files in your anti-virus software temporarily to see if that makes the downloading work.
