HMRC software won't run with Firefox - is there an easy to switch back to Int Explorer and then revert to Firefox after completing task?

Free HMRC software will not run properly as it creates tabs using the browser. HMRC technical support have confirmed I must switch back to Internet Explorer to complete the required tasks, otherwise the software will not work properly.

You can use an extension like IE Tab or IE View to use the IE rendering engine in Firefox.
