Is there ever going to be a x64 Aurora release?

On the Nightly channel there are always x64 releases, but there never are any x64 releases on Aurora. For example, I was using Nightly 7 x64 while Aurora was 6, but now Nightly is 8 and Aurora is 7, but there is no x64 release for Aurora.

I see myself forced to ask this question because I really want to see Firefox x64 happen! But there is no information on any site and it just feels strange that you are only releasing alphas for x64. Also I couldn't find a suitable category for asking this question, so I just threw it here.

Not likely until 8.0a1 moves from the Nightly channel to the Aurora channel as 8.0a2 and 7.0a2 moves to the Beta channel as 7.0b1 and 6.0b* moves to Release channel before release.

The Aurora is more Alpha stage while the Nightly is more bleeding edge though there are actually a couple other separate branches of development UX project and TM that are considered to be bleeding edge before merging into mozilla-central Nightly.

This is concerning the Windows builds of course as the 64-bit Mac OSX and Linux has been supported since Firefox 4.0.

If you want to Test these builds then perhaps http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewforum.php?f=23 may be of interest.

Yeah, I checked that out a while ago, but I don't really have the time to look into the subjet in further depht, I'm just happy using Aurora and wanted to see if there was going to finally be an x64 version since they already exist for Nightly.

Had to dig this up as previous article was deleted for some reason. It has a couple of Tracker bugs listed for some reading when you do have time.

8 is all the way in to beta now. No x64 beta 8, no x64 aurora 9. People who want x64 on windows STILL have to use Nightlies (which sometimes don't work). Now that flash x64 is stable, there's no excuse not to have x64 Firefox!

Note that the Waterfox fork is a valid option, but it's not official mozilla code: http://waterfoxproj.sourceforge.net/downloads/
