I cannot access https://portal.southend-adult.ac.uk/sorce/do_frames_menu.asp?menuno=-1
I teach at Southend Adult Community College. This secure portal gives me access to documents I need to read as I begin teaching a course this Thursday, and I would rather read the documents at home instead of having to log into one of the computers in the tutor room. The other tutors are able to access this portal - they say it must be a problem with mozilla. They use internet explorer. I do not want to install internet explorer again because it is not secure.

Try visiting the following web site:
https://portal.southend-adult.ac.uk/sorce
What I have done is removed extraneous data from the end of the URL that I believe might not be required.
See if you can now access the web site.
Please tell me, do you know of any reason why secure web sites might be blocked?
This site is a secure web site, you can tell by the https:// at the start and not an http://
Sorry, I tried that already. I just tried your link and it brings me to the Acceptable Usage Policy page. Then when I click on the Accept button, it brings me to the page whose path I emailed with my question.
I am going to be stuck reinstalling Internet Explorer so I can access this tutor area on the college's website.
Many thanks for trying to help. Yours sincerely, smithgill
Maybe you can speak to the Administrators of the site itself, the ICT department at the college. Perhaps it is something they have encountered before and can give further information.
Are any of the other tutors using Firefox?
Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
- Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.
