Various images on various sites do not come up and/or not visible. The same images are visible when I use Internet Explorer. Sometimes site images and sometime images on my email.
When first starting Firefox cannot see all of the images on the yahoo website. When viewing various other websites the same thing happens. In addition some of the images do not show when I check email messages. I have un-installed and re-installed Firefox several times and still have the same problems.

The default of the pref network.http.max-connections has been increased from 30 to 256 in Firefox 6+ versions.
Try to decrease the value of the pref network.http.max-connections from 255 to a setting like 30 as used in Firefox 3 versions.

I had the problem with Yahoo Mail. I upgraded to the New Yahoo Mail and now it works (Oct 26, 2011).
