I hate this update. How do I get back to my familiar homepage?

How do I get back to my familiar homepage, with readable fonts and larger type? I believe this has been done with an upgrade forced on my computer and it is most horrible. I may have to quit using Firefox if I cannot resolve this stupid upgrade.
