Sync data all erased!
I was using Aurora for months, then I decided to switch back to Firefox. I am always using Sync to assure that my bookmarks, settings, passwords are safe.
- I created a restore point. - Uninstalled Aurora using YourUninstaller Pro 7. - Downloaded & Installed the latest of Firefox. - Setup Sync information, all ok. - Clicked on "Sync Options" & choose "Replace all data on this computer with my Sync data" - Now I cannot find anything of my data except some obsolete bookmarks.
No settings, no passwords, no history, no tabs... nothing!
I even checked the quota of my Sync and all zeros! I do not really know what have I done, I just clicked on the 2nd Sync option!
My question is; is there a way like a backup or something to get my erased data? Or I have lost my data forever?
Thanks in advance.

Sync was intended to synchronize your personal information between devices/computers, not for permanent or temporary back-up of your personal information (bookmarks, passwords, etc.).
You are safer creating a back-up of that information on a CD/DVD or a USB/pin/jump/thumb drive. You should backup your personal information regularly. Read about Firefox Sync --> https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/what-firefox-sync

No, there's something else wrong. The data is only erased on my Mac, not on my PC. This happened to me before and I thought it was just a bad hard drive, but I think it's Lion OS. Please fix this because I dislike safari.
Thank you, Mike

Your question is different from the original question: the original poster was using Sync as a backup tool and not for its intended purpose.
