After Firefox update, most of my search engine options have changed from USA to UK and I am unable to get USA ones back. Of course, Google doesn't change .
After Firefox update, most of my available search engines in the upper right have changed from USA to UK versions (except Google which I prefer not to use). I am unable to get USA Yahoo or Amazon or Ebay search engines back.

Sounds that you got the en-GB Firefox version with the update.
You can download the en-US version and uninstall the current en-GB version and install the en-US version.
Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.
- Firefox 12.0.x: http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all.html
Do NOT remove personal data when you uninstall your current Firefox version, because all profile folders will be removed and you will also lose your personal data like bookmarks and passwords from profiles of other Firefox versions.
Your bookmarks and other profile data are stored elsewhere in the Firefox Profile Folder and won't be affected by a reinstall, but make sure that you do not select to remove personal data if you uninstall Firefox.

Hello edieblue,
please try changing Firefox's language to English (US) by going into; Preferences -> Content -> Languages (Choose...).
Thank you for your patience and let me know how it goes.

I didn't see your reply til I had done the second reply I got (saw that one first) and it worked great. I do not know how to access Preferences - don't see it in Tools or Help - but just saw a way to change language - will try your way next time - thank you for your prompt reply and help !!
