Help please! I deleted Firefox then reinstalled. Before deleting I synced the data, checked the address and sync key. Then on the new Firefox I opened sync finally and the old date is not there.

Thank you for your question, and I am sorry to hear that the date is not there. Unfortunately profile associated with the sync account was deleted when you uninstalled it was deleted, it will not sync. However, it is really easy to sync the device with the information that you saved: the username, password, and recovery key.

All three of those are needed to sync the existing account. If this is the first device you will open up Tools > Set Up Sync and follow the dialogue with this information. Select you already have an account and enter the three pieces of info.

Once you have that set up and the profile is all done syncing. I also recommend trying the new sync in about:accounts. However, do not try this until you have set up the old sync, especially if this is the first computer you set sync up on.
