Cor-el and another person suggested fixes. Neither worked. As Cor-el suggested I now have Keyword enabled as TRUE. Search still does not work. It does change search word to a URL, however - so a step in the right direction perhaps. Sorry I couldn't put this in a replt to the thread, but it wouldn't allow me.

Try this: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/searchreset/

The above add-on is very simple: on installation, it backs up and then resets your search preferences and home page to their default values, and then uninstalls itself. This affects the search bar, URL bar searches, and the home page.

The above add-on is very simple: on installation, it backs up and then resets your search preferences and home page to their default values, and then uninstalls itself. This affects the search bar, URL bar searches, and the home page.
