This is driving me nuts...

Over the years I have had many versions of Thunderbird and I know how to go to Options... Composition... Spelling... Download Dictionaries... etc. but after I chose a dictionary and go to the big blue "Download Now" button and give it click NOTHING happens?!?!

I've tried it with different dictionaries, still nothing. This means I have no spell check when I'm composing an email.

Please tell me I'm an idiot and I'm missing something really, really, really simple...

THANKS!

Zenos, you're a star.

I've been to the page in your first link countless times and the "Download Now" button has always been dead. Using your link as soon as I hit "Download Now" then the option came up to save the Dictionary to my desktop then I simply followed the instructions to put it into Thunderbird.

I can't imagine why the "easy" method isn't working, but your workaround was brilliant.

Thank you so very much, sir.

Cheers, Terry
