why do i receive an e-mail at 8:05 pm and then no e-mails until 4:00 am? Something is not right. I always get e-mails at least every 10 minutes.

I am not sure what you think anyone here can do for you. Is the software popping up an error? what makes you think there is an issue related to Thunderbird? What it open on a laptop that was in sleep mode so did not connect to the internet? Really. what we know you tell us. At this point we know you think there is a problem.
