By "hijacking" I mean that when I click on the Mozilla FF icon while it is loading Yahoo pops up and away goes MFF. I do not like yahoo and have never had it for a home page. I do have att therefore I have yahoo but have always been able to use EI, Google or Mozilla FF; however, that has changed in the past few days.

thanks rfh

So would changing the Home Page be all? That is easy, this article should help. If that is not the only issue please provide a screenshot.

Settings Guard for Firefox {web link} Detects and resets changes to settings that are frequently done by add-ons and application installers.

Bookmark and use this; Download the Mozilla Search Reset {web link} This add-on is very simple: on installation, it backs up and then resets your search preferences and home page to their default values, and then uninstalls itself. This affects the search bar, URL bar searches, and the home page.

Go thru your programs folder and remove Yahoo anything.

Using your file browser, open the Programs folder on your computer.

Windows: C:\Program Files C:\Program Files (x86) Mac: Open the "Applications" folder. Linux: Check your user manual.
