I want to keep my pinned sites on my new tab, but I don't want history to show up.

When I open a new tab I have favorite sites pinned.

However, random tabs from my history also start to show.

I only want to see the pinned sites and not the history. However, I want to keep my history stored, just not on a new tab.

Is there a way to accomplish this?

The function of the New Tabs page is to display the sites you go to the most. You can Pin the ones you want in place, but that's all. Are you pinning at position 1, 2, 3 or just pinning where it was?
