See printscreen. After a recent Firefox update, junk appeared on top of my mouse, blocking my normal usage: arrows, star, etc. How can I get rid of this please, I never asked for it, it's interfering in my personal use of my mouse the way I prefer to use it.

Thank you.

Normally that's the menu shown when you right click...

Is it always there?

If you prefer text labels in the right-click context menu instead of the icons for Back, Forward and Reload and the star to bookmark the page then you can install the "Classic Theme Restorer" extension. You can find the option to get text labels instead of icons in the context menu in the Options/Preferences of the CTR extension in the General UI section. Replace page context menu icons with labels (back, forward, stop, reload, bookmark page)

  • You can check out the settings of the CTR extension via the Tools menu (Classic Theme Restorer) and via its Options/Preferences button on the "Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions" page.
  • You can find extra toolbar buttons and more toolbar settings in Customize (3-bar Firefox menu button > Customize)

You can restore the text menu items by using this UserStyle with Stylish. https://userstyles.org/styles/104945/fx-32-context-menu-full-text

BTW, those icons were a new feature in Firefox 32, which was released in Sept 2014 - not so recent.
