Keeps changing my default browser from google to ask and i cant stop it. How do I stop this?

I change my default browseer in preferences to google but as soon as I go out of preferences it changes it back to ask. How do Istop this from happening

You can open the about:config page via the location/address bar and search for prefs that refer to ask.com. You can reset user set (bold) prefs via the right-click context menu to the default value.
