I continue to receive e-mails with the grey lock, and orange triangle, as well as some websites showing this as well. This started when Firefox updated to VERSION 42.0, and I tried to get help at that time with no results.

This is continuing to be a serious problem. ANY AND ALL RECOMMENDATIONS WILL BE APPRECIATED.

The lock icon in Firefox displays security information about the website you are visiting. The yellow triangle with the padlock icon in Firefox means that your connection to that website is partially encrypted and doesn't prevent eavesdropping.

There is nothing that can really be done about this, as it is the website's responsibility to create a secure connection. In many cases, these websites are still safe to browse, but you should still use caution when sharing personal information on these websites.

For more information about the Firefox padlock icon and what they mean, please refer to this Mozilla support article:

I hope that I explained the issue well enough. Let me know if you need anything clarified.

Wesley, thank you for your comments. I NEVER had any of these icons appear prior to VERSION 42.0. Why has this changed? Now I can't forward e-mails to others because of these warnings. I have had Firefox for more years than I can remember and NEVER, EVER had any warning icons until after Version 42.0

What is the reason that these warnings never appeared prior to this last version? I don't mind the warnings on a website, however when they are prevalent in e-mails it is creating havoc. Even e-mails from Fox news, and Medical Journals have these warning icons on them. I don't know how much longer I can try to deal with this.  :(

Sorry about the inconvenience. These warnings should not prevent you from navigating a website correctly and all websites should work properly, regardless of the warning status.

Is there a block icon displaying next the padlock icon on the websites that you are having issues with? If so, this may mean that a plugin like Adobe Flashplayer or Java is blocked on that website. To enable to plugin, click the block and click to allow plugins on that website.
