After an update on 2/26/16 for Windows I no longer get my desktop icons or task bar. Can you help? I can't get into my Firefox site.

I tried to get into my Firefox account by updating but it tells me there is a Firefox running in the back ground. It said I should close it to get an update. I can't close it because a Windows update eliminated my desk top and task bar.

Right click your desktop and look for any options. An update from Microsoft should not remove your desktop.

Thank you for answering. Unfortunately nothing happens when I right click. So what could have happened to make my screen go blank? It's not a black screen but a dark grey screen. This is so frustrating. I need to get into the computer to send my taxes. When the update was finished there were no icons on the screen. There was a task bar. Then that disappeared.

Start your Computer in safe mode with networking. Then start Firefox. Try Safe web sites. Is the problem still there?
