Mozilla was uninstalled somehow after malware...i need to reinstall Mozilla preserving MY FAVORITES LIST

more options

Something got on the computer "bundle. something or the other) after trying to download a duplicate file finder cleaner I was able to scan several times until the malware was apparently gone, but Mozilla was removed. I need Mozilla installed with my LONG favorites list restored. This is the 3rd time this has happened...if my entire favorites list is not restored, I will be forced to go to another browser although I am happy with Mozilla. Please help

Normally when you install Firefox it will find your existing (last used) profile folder containing your bookmarks and other data. If you want to check for that in advance, you could try this:

Select and copy the following "shortcut":

%APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles

On the Windows 7 start menu, paste that shortcut into the search box and press Enter to load it.

You should see one or more semi-randomly-named folders. You might want to back this/these up just in case something goes wrong during the installation.

Then grab a fresh installer from the following page -- scroll down to your preferred language, and for maximum plugin compatibility, choose the regular Windows version, not the 64-bit version:

https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/

When you run that, it should detect your existing settings and you should be back in business automatically.

Success?
