Since a week or 2 I have a problem with printing an email from the print options in Thunderbird. I had this problem never before.

When just printing an email my printer gives just blanc A4 paper sheets with just 1 letter in a corner. Asking for a print sample I see a small and long example of the to printed page.

I found out when using Ctrl P and going to Properties of the printer (HP Officejet Pro 8620) and choosing "Advance" the page format is Letter instead of A4. When changing "Letter" into "A4" the problem is solved. But at every new print order the problem is back again.

Does anyone know how to fix it?

Thanks for your help. Henk

It's a known bug, as is the workaround you applied:
