I like to remove Yahoo from Firefox. I don't like using Yahoo and never have. If i can't remove it i'll uninstall Firefox and go to another browser. I really liked Firefox but i don't like Yahoo and don't like the way you put Yahoo in without asking first. Thank You honeydoo2k

Hi, not sure exactly what you mean - search, toolbar, homepage?

Here's some possibilities -

  • Open the Add-ons Manager (Ctrl+Shift+A) > Plugins/Extensions and disable/remove anything 'Yahoo.'
  • Right click on your Firefox Desktop shortcut > Properties, and in Target, make sure there is no sign of Yahoo. If there is, delete that part of it. Or if it's easier, you can just delete it and recreate a new shortcut. More: Wrong home page opens when I start Firefox - How to fix.
  • Start Menu > Control Panel > Programs and look for Yahoo.
  • You can try these free programs to scan for malware, which work with your existing antivirus software:

Note that not all removal programs will detect all malware, so you may need to run several or all of them.

Further information can be found in the Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware article.
