Firefox was running great until I got a suggestion from FF login to try master password, which I downloaded to save my passwords etc. Since then all my personal and privacy settings are gone. Forget icon is gone and every time a do a search I'm asked for my master password. Also when I do anything while on a cite I get pop ups. Wished I had never installed MP. I tried to go back but all I get is a request for that MP and pop ups.

Something/someone told you to install a password manager? Which one?

Firefox has a built in manager.

In the event that the passwords information is lost, you should record all information in a separate text file somewhere else on your hard drive, or written down. You can easily copy and paste if you need to do so. If you are concerned about someone else looking at that file, you can compress it using a password.
