Hello

so I have the problem that it seems that FF is not saving cookies correctly. For example: - everytime I restart FF I have to log in back to many websites with "remember me" option enabled (not all are affected tho)

- it doesn't save settings for youtube like dark mode and theatre mode

The thing that makes me think it might not even be cookies is that sometimes the browser forgets settings for a website wihtin one session without even restarting the browser. For example sometimes youtube is resetted to the bright theme and normal view mode without even restarting the browser (youtube is on the cookie whitelist).

I have tried:

- Firefox, Firefox Beta, Firefox Nightly; "Refreshing" the browser after each of the installations

- clearing of cookies

- disabling the new anti tracking features completely

- completely allowing all cookies

- whitelisting cookies for affected websites

- diabling/uninstall all add-ons

Hi CHKA91, could you also check your setting here:

  • Windows: "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Options
  • Mac: "3-bar" menu button (or Firefox menu) > Preferences
  • Linux: "3-bar" menu button (or Edit menu) > Preferences
  • Any system: type or paste about:preferences into the address bar and press Enter/Return to load it

In the left column, click Privacy & Security. Then on the right side:

In the History section, either:

  • Firefox will: Remember history -- no problem
  • Firefox will: Never remember history -- problem!!
  • Firefox will: Use custom settings for history -- in the detailed settings this displays, check this:
    • "Clear history when Firefox closes" -- not checked, ok
    • "Clear history when Firefox closes" -- checked => click the Settings button and make sure Cookies are NOT set to be cleared

Hello, You also disabled all add-ons? Verify also your quarantine or antivirus reports. Have you a cellular data connection (mobile hotspot) than could disconnect you after a period of time or after a data amount limit? Are you experiencing network problems (type: you are not connected to the internet ?)

Have a nice day!
