Let's assume that I'm going to find in my history articles about Facebook, but not published on that service. What should I type in history search field? If I type facebook -facebook.com or facebook -"facebook.com" (in search engines sign "-" means that the world behind it shouldn't appear in search results), it displays nothing.

The search of Firefox history will look for the string you enter into the search box. If that string is present it will be displayed.

So please add more options for searching in history.

The people who answer questions here, for the most part, are other Firefox users volunteering their time (like me), not Mozilla employees or Firefox developers.

If you want to leave feedback for Firefox developers, you can go to the Firefox Help menu and select Submit Feedback... or use this link. Your feedback gets collected by a team of people who read it and gather data about the most common issues.

Add-ons with the "history" permission have the ability to search your history. I don't know whether any of them have the kind of advanced search you're looking for. You might see whether you find any you like/trust:

It's quite improfessional that user has to report the same problem twice. Of course I could have sent it to developers at the first time, but I weren't sure if Mozilla really doesn't have that feature.
