Hi, I am using Thunderbird 91.5.0 and Firefox 96.0 on Windows 10 19042.1415.

When Firefox is not already running and I click on a link in an eamil received in Thunderbird. Firefox opens but not the URL pointed to. Any action in the Firefox window will not work. In task mananger I can see that 3-4 Firefox instances are open plus a background process with Firefox. When I "kill" all instances of Firefox in the task manager. Open Firefox from the windows probgram bar and click on a link in the email it works ok.

My experience has been to periodically close Firefox and clear cache. This isn't a Thunderbird-specific problem, but an issue of Firefox. I regret not being able to solve the issue. You might check the Firefox forum. Good luck to you.
