I have my inbox to be sorted by "date" and "Grouped by sort"

I usually leave today's group and"yesterdays" group expanded.

But if i close TBird and reopen it they are all collapsed.

Is there a solution to this so that it remembers what i had expanded ?

thanks

To reiterate, when i re-open Tbird i want it to be as i left such as this (see pic) but it will not . when it re-opens all the groups are collapsed.

I like to be able to glance at the client to consider todays and prior days email that may need attention. Not a big deal if the program is always open but that is not the case. It just seems like and easy issue/feature to build in ?

In all the searching i have done it looks like this has been an issue for some time and the only work-around is to make it default that all groups are expanded rather than selected ones.

any insight is appreciated.
