Popblocker support says "exceptions" are "allowed" sites...but MY list of exceptions says "Blocked"...not "Allowed". How do I add to the "Blocked" list when I get a new 'invader'?

Under Tools/Options/Content, I have Block Pop-up Windows checked. Beside that line, is a button called "Exceptions".

According to Firefox Help files, clicking this "Exceptions" button is supposed to bring up a box containing a list of all the sites that I've specifically ALLOWED to generate pop-ups.

INSTEAD, a box opens with HUNDREDS of sites listed......and beside each one (under that column named Status) is the word Block.

This is therefor NOT a list of exceptions.....but a list of blocked sites. (Wait a minute......I lied.......there are TWO sites at the very bottom of this HUUUUUUUUUUUUUGE list that DO say "Allow". Two out of maybe 500. However, Help says NOTHING about Block vs Allow both being on this site.

Furthermore, I apparently need a way to ADD blocked sites manually because I still seem to be getting the odd pop-up, even with blocking turned on.

Thoughts? Please?

If you see such a large list and you didn't create it yourself that it is most likely added by some security program like Spybot S&D as an immunization list and you need to disable such a feature in the program that added it before clearing the list in Firefox. All exception are stored in the file permissions.sqlite in the Firefox Profile Folder. So it may be easier to just remove that file if the list is really large.

If a pop-up is blocked then you get a bar at the top or see an icon on the Status bar that you can click on.

You can see all permissions for the domain in the current tab in Tools > Page Info > Permissions and that includes the pop-up setting (Use Default, Allow, Block).
