For quite a while now, Firefox hasn't been able to load images in windows on certain websites. For example, at the link listed I have no problem viewing the main image, but if I click on the small link that says "alternate view" a blank window comes up, if a window even comes up at all. I right-click on the blank window, select properties, and under address it says about:blank. How do I fix this?

On the linked page that switch is done via JavaScript and the image above it gets replaced.
Make sure that you do not block such a script or content with an extension.

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

  • Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.
